Join us for a truly authentic Italian experience with Italian Chef Luigi Tonghini.
Luigi Tonghini was born in 1963 in the town of Cremona in northern Italy. Luigi has been in the restaurant business since the age of 17. He started as a professional waiter in the only two-star Michelin restaurant in Italy at that time, in Milan. He achieved Sommelier at the young age of 18. He learned the English language by living in London and working in an English restaurant for one year.
Upon returning to Italy, Luigi worked his way through the Italian kitchens in Milan and then moved with his new wife to the town of Treviso, near Venice, Italy to open and manage restaurants. He challenged the local cuisine by opening two Mexican and one Argentinian restaurants.
Luigi has now brought his culinary talents to South Alabama with the expectation of bringing Italian cuisine and fine wines to the American palates.
